TGEN
is a windows95/98 2000/XP based software (program) test frequency/ function/ waveform/ signal generator that
operates with any common 16 bit soundcard. As you might suspect, its output
frequency extends to 21 khz.

TGen comes with a lot of nice features
that you don't find in off the shelf, real hardware generators. It delivers
this functionality at only a small fraction of the cost. 3 versions of TGen
come in the same package. TGEN9598 for users of old operating systems. TGEN1.0
for tone databasing under W98 W2000,WXP and TGENNoDB for extra features, but no
databasing under W98, W2000 and WXP.
All
3 programs can play sequences of up to 20 frequencies. TGen9598 plays up to 5
simultaneous frequencies while the other two offer up to 15 simultaneous
frequencies. Tone sequence programs can be stored to disk and recalled.
Other
features include sweeps, frequency distortions, a pause button, start and stop
buttons, tone pulsing and a variety of wave forms (sin, square, sawtooth,
triangle, heartbeat, and noise). TGENNoDB allows right and left channels to be turned
on and off separately for each tone definition. It also allows volume (or
amplitude) sweeps and the inversion of the right channel. Inverting the right
channel will force any stereo amplifier into bridge mode so that both channels
can dump power into one load. (just connect the active connection of one
channel through the load to the active connection of the other channel.) TGEN
is a flexible, inexpensive solution for your audio frequency generation needs..
